CASA would like to thank everyone who was brave enough to jump for CASA on Saturday the 17th. It was an amazing day and although there were weather delays everyone got to jump in the end.
The exhilaration on everyone’s face when they landed was well worth the wait.
Thank you so much to all the tandem masters from the Irish Parachute Club who brought all our jumpers down safely. They are really great at what they do. They kept everyone happy and calm before each jump and really added to the event.
In total we have raised €4971 for CASA. It was so much fun we might just have to do it all again next year.
Mary Fox, who is our longest serving volunteer, has been writing her life story with the aid of her PA’s for a while. She had expressed a wish to have her book published. To celebrate Mary and her 70th Birthday, it was arranged to have her book published as a surprise.
The book is an inspirational read! It is for sale through the office for €15. For more details call 01-8725300.
CASA would like to say a big thank you to all the people who came to the farewell concert for Father Frank Murray. The proceeds of the concert were donated to CASA at the request of father Frank. The local community raised over €5000 and CASA would like to say thank you. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The Dress up for CASA was a great success. Even the rain couldn’t put the crowds off finding a beautiful bargain for Christmas. In total the shop[ raised €3050 for the CASA Breakhouse. Thanks to all the organisers Sally and Conor Dillon and Joan and her wonderful team. Thanks to everyone who donated clothes or raffle prizes and to everyone who came along on the day to support the event.
The cheque from the Gala Ball committee was presented to the Breakhouse on the 26th of May. The grand total was a whopping €60,965.66. This money will keep the respite house supported for many months to come. Thank you again to the wonderful voluntary committee lead by Sandra Crean. Thanks for all your hard work and support.
