DUBLIN HOTEL CASA HOLIDAY WEEK-END
Occasionally CASA hold a Holiday Week-end in a Dublin Hotel and the week-end of May 13th, 14th & 15th many of our volunteers and members met in Bewley's Hotel for a CASA weekend. After settling into our rooms we all met for dinner and a chat. At about 11o’clock night prayer was led by Una Molloy.
Saturday morning began early for some, but later for many of us, with a full Irish breakfast followed by catching up with friends we had not seen in a while. Later in the morning we loaded up the busses and headed for The Swords Shopping Centre. While some of us sat around drinking tea, coffee and talking, the more motivated of us shopped and shopped ‘till all the money was gone. In the afternoon some went to the cinema while the more energetic went for a walk around Malahide and the TV footballers came back to the hotel to watch the FA cup final. The rest of the evening was spent getting ready for dinner and party later that night, another late night for everyone!
Sunday morning began again, with a leisurely Irish breakfast, for some it was off bowling for the morning while everyone else came together for a sing song with Tish and Ger. At 1pm we all met together for a lovely Mass with Fr. Joe and the choir led again by Ger and Tish. After Mass we sat down to eat for the last time. After we said our long goodbyes and loaded onto the buses to begin our journey back home.
