Breakhouse is a registered charity established by CASA. We offer respite care for people with disabilities, in an atmosphere that values and respects each individual. By providing quality breaks for a person with disabilities this also gives family carers a respite. Our respite breaks provide a warm and supportive environment in a family like atmosphere. This allows members and volunteers the opportunity to share in the day to day activities and social outings.
During a respite break, each member with a disability is paired with a volunteer for the duration of their stay. This one-to-one care is the hallmark of CASA’s ethos. Through this ethos we maximise the potential benefit for each individual entrusted in our care. There is also a spiritual dimension to the Breakhouse which is respectful to each person’s beliefs, background and ethos.
